Description
Shaligram Carbon Black
- Quantity : 1 piece
- Shaligram (also spelled Salagram or Salagrama) is a sacred black stone revered in Hinduism, particularly in the worship of Lord Vishnu. It is considered a divine representation of Lord Vishnu himself and is found mainly in the Gandaki River in the Himalayas of Nepal. Shaligrams are fossilized ammonite shells that have natural markings, spirals, and chakras, which are seen as symbols of Vishnu’s various forms, such as the Sudarshan Chakra (his discus).
- Connection to Tulsi: The Shaligram is often worshipped alongside the sacred Tulsi plant (holy basil), representing the marriage of Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi (who is also associated with Tulsi).
